ASAP | = | As soon as possible | |
CC | = | Carbon copy is used if the correspondence is going to more than one person. | |
ENC | = | The enclosure is used if you include additional papers with the original letter. | |
PP | = | Per Procurationem, you are signing the letter for someone else as they are unavailable to sign it themselves. This is a Latin term. | |

PS | = | Postscript means you have a thought you want to add at the end of the letter. You are usually written after the signature beginning on the left-hand side as in the body of the letter. | |
PTO | = | Please turn it over. This informal abbreviation lets the reader know there is a continuation of the letter on the backside of the paper. | |
RSVP | = | Please reply |
